GM ARB Training LTD
Garry McEleney started working in arboriculture as a groundsman with a local Brighton firm in 1996. He qualified soon after at Merrist Wood College, Surrey.
Garry travelled to Germany, where he was predominantly involved in the dismantling of large trees. When returning to the UK, he worked as a contractor for many companies in the South East and decided to set up his own company over the next ten or so years.
He has worked for many high status sites such as Greenwich Park London, Royal Naval College Greenwich, English Heritage sites, Bluebell Railway and many other beautiful places. With his experience and expertise he was often called upon to deal with the bigger and more challenging jobs, removal or reduction of large and technically difficult trees.
With Garry’s expertise and good communication with people on all levels, it seemed the next logical step would lead him to the role of instructor.
Having successfully completed all necessary and relevant courses, Garry is a fully qualified NPTC Assessor and registered Lantra instructor.
Garry now works alongside colleges and independent training providers up and down the South East. When Garry is not running courses or assessing, he is is still climbing either for himself or for other companies who often call upon him for the bigger and trickier jobs.
